My story.....
Even as a child I had a love of anything with fur and four legs. Raised by two parents with open minds and a love of the outdoors it was fate that lead me in to the sport of dog showing and eventually breeding purebred dogs.
After enjoying breeding and showing Shetland Sheepdog for 25 years I happened upon Lowchen. This delightful breed has stolen my heart and now some 12 years later I cannot imagine my life without them.
Lowchen are still a rare breed and one that has not gained the same popularity as it's cousin the Havanese, most likely due to the show clip, which for those of us that love the breed, is a defining feature of these little clown like dogs. For my cover page I am featuring a full coated Lowchen which will remind many of a miniature Bearded Collie or Tibetan Terrier in looks only.
